Pathways to university

Our goal at NZIE is to provide you with and Education for your Future. For some graduates this means finding employment but for a lot of our students once they get into education they want more!

So what’s the next step? Here are some of the pathways we can offer for our students:.

Enrol on a Bachelor of Business programme at a New Zealand University and cross-credit your papers with a ‘B’ grade or higher on completion of the Diploma .

Graduates can gain a maximum of 120 credits from Massey University.  AUT University and  University of Auckland work out their cross-credits on a case-by-case basis.  NZIE will assist you with the application with these Universities.

NZIE also has pathway agreements with the following institutions where the NZ Diploma in Business is recognised for cr0ss-credits:

- Unitec

- Whitireia Polytechnic

- AIS St Helens

NZIE has the following pathways to University:

Bachelor of Business studies in Massey University

- Entrance after NZIM Level 5 (IELTS 6 required)
- Direct entry 2nd year after NZDB Level 6 : Graduates from the NZ Diploma in Business can cross-credit
up to 6 papers (1 academic year) if they gain a ‘B’ grade or higher in these papers.

Bachelor of International Business in AIS St Helens

- Entrance after NZDB level 6: Extra papers may be required depends on choice of major
