The New Zealand Diploma in Business is designed for people with an interest in business and management. You’ll develop practical business and commercial skills, which willl give you a solid foundation for taking on the business world, whether you head into a multinational corporation or a small family business. Students who complete this course will be eligible for entry to NZ Universities. Students who achieve ‘B’ grades or higher are eligible and can cross-credit some of their papers studied at NZIE to their Business Degree at University. International students who graduate from the NZ Diploma in Business will be eligble for a one-year open work visa on completion.
During the course and also after graduating you will receive ‘mentorship’ and ‘internship’ opportunities with an employer so you can get some really good experience in the workplace. This programme is unique to NZIE and is offered as part of the course at no extra cost to you.

Employment Opportunities:
Assistant Manager or Management positions in any industry. NZIE’s own Recruitment Agency, ‘Think Recruit’ will assist you with work placement.
International Students will be entitled to a ‘job finders’ one-year work Visa. NZIE will assist you with work placement opportunities on completion of the course.
Pathway to a Bachelor of Business Programme :
Enrol on a Bachelor of Business programme at a New Zealand University and cross-credit your papers with a ‘B’ grade or higher on completion of the Diploma .
Graduates can gain a maximum of 120 credits from Massey University. AUT University and University of Auckland work out their cross-credits on a case-by-case basis. NZIE will assist you with the application with these Universities.
NZIE also has pathway agreements with the following institutions where the NZ Diploma in Business is recognised for cr0ss-credits:

Duration: 76 weeks ( 2 Academic Years of 38 weeks plus holidays)
Start dates: 29 April 2013, 22 July 2013
Hours: 20 hours per week over 3 days a week.
Where: Available at our two Auckland Campuses: Takapuna Beach (North Shore City) and Manukau City Campuses.
New Zealand Students
Have a minimum of 50 NCEA credits at level 2 or higher on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) with a minimum 12 credits at level 2 or higher in each of three subjects from the approved subject list, including a minimum of:
Eight credits at level 2 or higher in English or Te Reo Māori, of which four credits must be in Reading and four in Writing, or equivalent; and
Have a minimum of 14 credits at level 1 or higher in Mathematics or Pangarau on the NQF, or equivalent.
Special admission:
Applicants who do not meet the general admission requirements when the course begins may be considered for special admission if they can provide evidence and demonstrate aptitude at the required level or appropriate work or other experience
International Students:
International Students: 6.0 or higher for IELTS with no band less than 5.5 (or an equivalent test) or a TOEFL score of no less than 550; • Students must be at least 18 years old.
NZIE is an NZQA Category 1 institute which means that international students who enrol with us can sit the NZIE English Proficiency test instead of IELTS of TOEFL.
OR International Students that have completed 2 years of NZ Secondary School and have completed NCEA Level 3 will meet the English requirements for this course.
