Applying for your renewal permit is now easier than ever!
Are you tired of waiting in the queues at New Zealand Immigration to apply for your student permit renewal? You can now apply on campus at the New Zealand Institute of Education through Students Online.
What is Students Online?
Students Online is the student permit renewal system that has been developed by New Zealand Immigration Service to process student permit renewal applications on campus. The renewal process is managed by campus staff Monday to Friday between 9am and 4:30 pm.
Are you eligible to use Students Online?
You must be a full fee paying international student. You can only apply for a renewal permit through Students Online. You must already have a valid visa or permit or passport. You must study at or be transferring to study at the New Zealand Institute of Education.
How do I apply and what do I need to do?
To apply for renewal of your student permit you will need: • A New Zealand bank statement in your name showing that you have NZ$5,000 (half year) or NZ$10,000 (one year) for living expenses or a completed NZIS Financial Undertaking Form, • The receipt for the payment of your tuition fees • Your passport • Offer of Place • Student ID Card • $90 fee • A current passport size photo • A completed New Zealand Institute of Education Online Students Permit Renewal Checklist and Application Form.
