Complete and return the standard New Zealand Institute of Education Student Application Form.
You can download and print a word version of the application/enrolment form or contact the Institute to receive a copy.

It is a free application so if you don't already have a copy you may download one simply by clicking the button "Application for Enrolment form 2008" and following the on screen instructions.

Please ensure that you have enclosed the following with your application form:
- A certified English translation of qualifications and academic records
- A copy of a recent IELTS or TOEFL result sheet (if this is an entry requirement)
- If you are still at school, a copy of your most recent school report
- Details of any work experience relevant to your course
- A certified copy of your birth certificate or passport

Security of Students' Course of Study Fees
- Course of Study fees paid are deposited into a trust account administered by the Public Trust.
- Each week, the New Zealand Institute of Education will draw down your tuition fees for that week from the trust account
- In the unlikely event that the New Zealand Institute of Education goes into liquidation or receivership, you will receive a pro rata refund from the trust account. This refund will cover the fees for the remaining (undelivered) study weeks.
Refund Policy
Any request for refund of fees and study related costs must be made in writing to the Managing Director on or before the seventh day after the first day of the course of study for which attendance at the Institute is required.
- No refunds are provided for withdrawals after the 7th day of the Course of Study.
- A formal withdrawal received before the 7th day of Course of Study will be eligible for a refund less an administrative charge of 10% of total fees paid or NZ$500, whichever is the lesser amount. Approved refunds will be made payable to the person(s) who made the original payment.
- International students who are unable to gain a Student Visa or Permit from New Zealand Immigration Service prior to the scheduled start date of the Course of Study will be given a full refund of module fees (this does not include the non-refundable application fee of NZ$150). The New Zealand Institute of Education is obliged to inform New Zealand Immigration Service if the student ceases to attend, withdraw or is dismissed from his/her course of study.
